Abstract
EquipoGIS - Experiential Learning, Community Service and Spatial Awareness
Track: Community Projects and Partnerships
Author
EquipoGIS is the fusion of four technologies. GIS, collaboration, and experiential learning. Youth will present projects they have been involved in on the local, state, and international level. They will describe the process for selecting a project, as well as the implementation, and outcomes of the project. The team will will discuss the impact of youth teaching youth GIS skills, and the value of youth community projects.
