Taking it to the Web: It's all about Location

The Edmonton Catholic School District (ECSD) has a 120 year history in Alberta's capital city. With over 33, 000 students and 3, 000 staff members, utilizing this emerging technology is producing many positive results for the education business. The District embraced GIS in September of 2007 and has continued to use it to develop and support day to day operations and planning. The presentation will outline some of the accomplishments and benefits that GIS has brought to Edmonton Catholic as well as, some of the challenges they have overcome and what their goals for the future are. The Presentation will conclude with a demonstration of the web tool they are piloting internally.
