EPISD utilizes GIS and geocodes to monitor changes in campus enrollments, create maps illustrating the effects of attendance zone changes, opening/closing campuses, and student growth trends. EPISD students were given the opportunity to convert Auto CAD files into shape files, develop maps, create spreadsheets, and discuss EPISD issues. This project enables education administrators to present attendance zone changes, trends, and projections in an easily understandable way.
