One of the overwhelming components to being a GIS educator is to keep up with the ever evolving forms of GIS software and GIS tools available. The purpose of this presentation is to discuss a pedagogical approach of relying upon classroom lessons and activities that blend both desktop and online GIS software to articulate the concept of GIS to students new to concept/science and to expose students to the various tools available to do GIS.
