Abstract
Mapping Street Trash in Neenah WI in proximity to Winnebago Lake
Track: Learning and Research Lightning Talk
Authors: Richard Djukpen
This project uses GPS technology to get trash coordinates and map these in proximity to Winnebago Lake. It is to determine pollution of the lake from city runoff from trash from different neighborhoods. The collection of data covers a period of six month. Students and researcher go out once a week to collect the data and at different times of the day. Garmin GPS is used and data is uploaded in ESRI software and other open source software. We calculate the proximity to Lake Winnebago.
