The interdisciplinary nature of research conducted at a Tier-1 research university gives a privileged opportunity to GIS experts to get involved in diverse and rewarding projects. When science appears too complex, geospatial technology may be used to bridge communication gap between experts delivering sophisticated information to people who need it for critical decision-making.
