Abstract
Visualizing Geographic Patterns in MOOC Data
Track: Learning and Research Panel Discussion
Authors: Anthony Robinson, Sterling Quinn
Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) have the potential to reach vast new learner audiences. By virtue of their participation, these learners generate enormous datasets for researchers to explore. Our work aims to uncover the geography of learner engagement in MOOCs. In this presentation we will show spatial patterns we have uncovered, and highlight the challenges associated with spatial analysis of MOOC data.
