Improving Teaching and Extension at UF through Vegetation Mapping

The University of Florida Geomatics program used ArcGIS Online in an integrative approach to teaching and extension activities at the UF/IFAS Fort Lauderdale REC for mapping vegetation species to meet the informational needs of the various horticultural groups that conduct programs on the university property. A modified AGOL Shortlist App now provides users with a single portal to access location and vegetation characteristics on individual plant species found in the many gardens across campus.
