Political Topography Analysis of Party Expansion into East Germany

This presentation describes the method to apply spatial temporal analysis of political party expansion into East German districts by the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) through election results, cultural biases, and transcribed field interviews with political personalities. Geostatistical Analyst, Spatial Statistics, and Spatial Analyst tools from ArcToolbox were used to analyze results and run simulations to predict potential party expansion into new districts and electoral results.
