Abstract
Placing Geospatial Technology in the Hands of Library Administrators
Track: Administration and Policy Lightning Talk
Authors: Ashley Buzzeo
The Eastern Shore Regional Library and Towson University were awarded an IMLS “SPARKS” grant, which encourages libraries to evaluate innovations that benefit library operations, services, and resources. We proposed using GIS to help administrators achieve a better understanding of their user base and associated demographics, needs, and preferred users of resources. Results of the pilot project will create recommendations for the use of GIS in the administration of libraries across the nation.
