Mapping Social Studies Literacy in Clear Creek ISD

In this paper I discuss the process and results of mapping social studies literacy in Clear Creek Independent School District (CCISD) located southeast of Houston, Texas. Data from the 2014 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness were mapped at elementary, intermediate, and high school attendance zone scales. The use of a story map enhances public accessibility to the results which in turn demonstrates the power of spatial analysis to facilitate formative assessment in public education.
