Imparting Spatial Thinking to Kenyatta University Community

Kenyatta University (KU) took the challenge, applied for ESRI 100 African Universities Programme & signed MoU with ESRI EA. The University was awarded Licence after putting in place a strategy for accessibility through 6 computer labs. The value of Licence was realised after hosting ESRI EA UC & workshops on Hydrology & Disease & Landscape Dynamic Mapping. KU launched a training campaign that introduced 500 participants to GIS in a two-phased approach with support from ICIPE’s CERNVec Programme.
