At Clark Magnet High School, students learn to operate a remotely operated vehicle equipped with a laser scaler, GPS-enabled 'Smart Tether' and imaging sonar to collect field data. Data analysis techniques are performed using ArcGIS Desktop. Students take still photographs and video using the ROV. Location coordinates are recorded onto the media through the use of a 'Smart Tether.' Imaging sonar is used to identify and navigate the ROV to targets. Projects are shared through story maps.
