This study used GIS to explore environmental changes of Davidson College's landscape. I created a series of historical maps with ArcMap, determined areas of vegetation losses and gains, and analyzed least-cost paths for various infrastructure including buildings, roads, gas lines, and power lines. I determined that vegetation has experienced an overall increase, and that Davidson College considered practicality as well as environmental stewardship when expanding into the unbuilt environment.
