Distance Education (DE) courses have the ability to reach and serve many students; which is good for enrollment and even better for program outreach. Of course, questions regarding effectiveness and overall value (especially compared to face-to-face sections) are understandably prevalent. In this presentation, we will share Southwestern College's successful pedagogical methods for online geospatial coursework delivery, including the use of a virtual server (for remote ArcGIS Desktop access).
