Abstract
Informal/Non-Formal Ways of Learning GIS in Interdisciplinary Research
Track: Learning and Research Lightning Talk
Authors: Patrick Rickles
Challenges and suggested solutions in Interdisciplinary Research have been derived from articles and interviews. Analyses of studies that have used GIS have yielded valuable understandings into which issues have actually been encountered in practice, which GIS concepts are important to the disciplines involved, and how they learned what they needed. This presentation will focus on these findings and propose a framework to more effectively expedite the uptake of GIS in Interdisciplinary Research.
