Classroom study of local history can be very challenging as key documents especially maps reside in libraries, local historic societies, and town archives inaccessible to students. As the educational committee chair for the Barrington (RI) Preservation Society, I coordinated the creation of a map gallery for the Society web page. The gallery contains historic StoryMaps and teacher materials that enable students to explore patterns of local change and growth from the 18th century to the 21st.
