Geospatial Education Initiative at UW Eau Claire

The Department of Geography has been awarded a UW-System Grant for the Geospatial Education Initiative (GEI). The purpose is to cultivate and promote the skills needed for today's student entering the geospatial workforce. Activities include: annual business summits, innovative curriculum, internship program and geospatial major. Results from the first summit where partners ranked the importance of critical work functions at the Geospatial Competency Model Tier 5 level will be presented.
