Geographic Information in Information Science and Librarianship

The Geographic Information Librarianship project was a two-year curricular research collaboration funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The presentation will provide an overview of project findings related to the creation of the online courses that address important information science core competencies such as data curation, preservation, and metadata creation of geographic information. The courses were informed using job analyses of currently practicing professionals.
