Using AGO in a Science Elective Class Incorporating CCSS and STEM

Today's learners do not know what their work world will be. The 'Geology of Disasters' class uses ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, and HazusME to implement CCSS, NGSS, and CTE. Students use technology, learn about natural disasters, read texts from various sources, write evidence based reports and are amazed at the beautiful and complex maps they can create. They enjoy analyzing risks for and effects of disasters, improve time-management skills and become more aware of and interested in the world.
