Abstract
Graduate Salem State GIS Classes Benefit Students and the Public
Track: Learning and Research Lightning Talk
Authors: Keith Ratner
This talk presents an overview of graduate GIS classes at Salem State University that develop geospatial projects for real world clients. Along with many others, projects have been done for Boston’s Public Health Department, the Massachusetts Audubon Society, and the Town of Amesbury, Massachusetts. The primary class goal is to teach the process of GIS project implementation. The secondary benefit is the geospatial assistance provided to local and regional organizations.
