Track: Learning and Research Lightning Talk
Authors: Daniel Goldberg
Many Geography students suffer from self-described “Programming Phobia”, not realizing that their technical GIS training background has prepared them quite well to be a successful novice to moderate programmer, capable of understanding and producing code that interacts with geographic data and CyberGIS services and resources to achieve a specific goal or accomplish a specific set of tasks. This talk examines best practices for teaching Python to Geography students.
