One course in the Geographic Information Science & Technology Master’s Degree Program is Spatial Sciences 587: Spatial Data Acquisition. This course is consistently viewed by faculty and students alike as a highlight of the program. This course provides knowledge and practical skills to evaluate data against quality standards, use data in GIS-based projects, and assess the quality of information output from those projects. The presentation will discuss the lessons learned from the course.
