Collaboration through Connection through the Use of the ArcGIS Online Platform

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, Virginia is a large, urban public research university. The Center for Environmental Studies is a chartered center within VCU Life Sciences and well established in ESRI technology. The Center has recognized a need for collaboration and integration of VCU GIS resources. ArcGIS Online is an accessible platform that can help centralize a decentralized GIS community. This presentation will review our goals, our approach and lessons learned.
