Combining ArcGIS Desktop's Imagery Analysis Tools, ArcGIS Online's editing applications, formal and informal relationships with satellite imagery providers, the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap community & infrastructure and very large arrays of high-resolution screens, the SGC was able to design and execute a reconnaissance project to locate highly mobile nomadic pastoralist groups ahead of the first randomized public health survey conducted on the Nyangatom people of Southern Ethiopia.
