UAS Case Studies in the Community: Examples of Industry-Academic Partnerships

This presentation will showcase three examples of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) community service learning projects performed by Palomar College students that were developed in collaboration with industry partners. We will discuss each project’s scope and challenges, highlight the role of ArcGIS in data presentation and analysis, and the “teachable moments” from each project. The presentation will conclude with tips for building sustainable industry-academic partnerships.
