Growing the GIS Professional: Part of the Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium Mission

The MN GIS/LIS Consortium has had a large role in developing GIS professionals due to a very engaged membership. We have awarded over $65,000 in scholarships and mentored 90 young professionals at our annual conferences. Educator Day involves educators teaching other educators to use GIS in K-12 classrooms. The Consortium’s sponsorship of GIS Days, networking events, and other collaborations has led to outstanding support of students who commonly chose to stay in the MN GIS community.
