Abstract
Irrigation Service Learning Project Missouri Botanical Garden/Lindenwood

The project involved using a Trimble R2 GNSS Receiver and the Collector app to identify and map sprinkler heads. Spray radius and arc degree were found and mapped in the Bavarian Garden. The area which the water sprayed onto impervious surface was calculated and shown to be significant. This information can be used to reduce the amount of runoff from the sprinkler irrigation system by adjusting the spray radius and/or degree.
