The Engineering and GIS groups at IRWD teamed up to build a 3D DEM that allows us to overlay the hydraulic models by “draping” them and examining things such as, potential pressure zone boundaries and sewershed delineations. This presentation will walk through the technical workflow of developing a DEM for hydraulic models, the business process justification for an agency like us to pursue taking on this effort, and what the future of this task may look like as software continues to advance.
