Introducing ArcGIS to Undergraduate Civil Engineering Students

ArcGIS is widely used in many disciplines, but college education in Civil Engineering (CE) normally does not cover it in its already packed curriculum. An initiative undertaken at a regional university is to introduce ArcGIS to undergraduate CE students in a technical elective course. <br /> Many government agencies generate and manage a large amount of GIS data for various purposes. Sources relevant to transportation study area have been identified and will be incorporated into the new course.<br />
