Mapping Maryland Schools At Risk For Opioid Exposure

Students are asking, 'What percent of schools in Maryland, and across the United States, are in areas at Highest Risk for opioid exposure?' The youth are investigating the intersection of socially vulnerable neighborhoods and opioid use data. They are using ArcGIS to visualize the data and to analyze the results, leading to further community investigation of schools at risk and available health resources in Maryland. Students plan to analyze the impacts of opioid overuse in local communities.<br />
