In July 2017, we hosted a Science Camp as part of the Clubes de Ciencia Peru that introducted GIS to twenty-five university and high school students. The camp involved a mix of lecture style learning, field data collection using drones and GPS devices, & laboratory exercises. The goal of the course was to spur interest in applications of GIS and to teach students how GIS can be used across a number of disciplines.
