This presentation focuses on applied learning examples for equipping GIS learners with relevant geospatial analysis and data collection skills used in the real-world. We explore GIS skills practiced using Story Maps, Geoforms, Community Analyst, and Survey 123 as part of the workforce development for social science students and non-profit personnel. We also highlight geospatial approaches to society and ways of communicating using GIS.
