Supporting data collection, QC, aggregation, and dissemination in a deployed environment presents challenges: latency, lack of network connectivity and limited infrastructure. Fortunately, the Esri geodatabase model provides a variety of tools and methods to address and overcome such challenges. This presentation will discuss how a multi-site enterprise GIS utilizes Geodatabase replication and data management techniques to centrally support operations across three continents. Though technical in nature, the processes discussed herein are straightforward, timetested, and well documented.
