The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is using GIS to seamlessly integrate spatial data and related infrastructure asset and work management data stored in Maximo and other systems. The ArcIMS software-based Asset Map Viewer, which is the user interface for the BIA integration platform, has been featured in the Federal GIS Connections newsletter. Now the BIA, Division of Irrigation, Power and Safety of Dams has upgraded to a new and more robust application based ArcGIS Server that brings the integration platform to the next level. The BIA is also prototyping GIS integration with Maximo for interior space management.
