This paper will present the view from the Pentagon of the Department of Defense's business transformation processes to improve management of our Military Installations. Defense Real Property at Military Installations consists of assets and services to support military forces in a cost effective, safe, sustainable, and environmentally sound manner. Our Installation Geospatial Information & Services (IGI&S) programs are the authoritative source for DoD GIS data used to manage our various Installations, Sites, Land, Facilities, Buildings and Structures. The IGI&S efforts support the Federal Enterprise Architecture, various DoD Cross-Mission Area Directives, and the DoD Business Enterprise Priorities.
