The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve (MARFORRES) needs to make the best use of limited facility and land assets, identify and justify durable facilities, identify potential new facilities, and ensure future facility requirements are met. ArcGIS API for Microsoft Silverlight and ArcGIS Server 9.3.1 are used to present real property and facility management information combined with Esri Data & Maps for ArcGIS Server. An enterprise geo-database running SQL Server 2005 provides the foundation for two data models: SDSFIE 2.6 (outside the building) and BISDM 2.0 (inside the building). Users with appropriate security roles can view relevant information by region, site, reserve center structure, building or room level data. Examples of this include population statistics, standoff distances, land use around facilities, buildings, facility usage, facility activities, condition and square footage details. Information is presented in a spatial dashboard via a web browser and includes charts, documents, photos, and tabular data.
