In Summer 2008, theater-wide Geospatial production capabilities in ISAF were physically fragmented resulting from having production locations spread over the entire AOR and having no common production infrastructure. As requested by SHAPE, the USAF/A2U offered to provide hardware and software to ISAF HQ and RC Geo production offices to address severe hardware and software shortcomings until NATO solutions can be fielded, possibly in late 2010. Eagle Express Production, fielded at HQ ISAF, RCN, and RCE in June 2009, is a quick solution that provides a large capacity server, high performance workstations, and peripherals running ArcGIS 9.3. Follow on work continues to address the requirements at RCW, RCS, and RCC.
