This session will explore how GIS can be used with Web 2.0 technologies like Web services, mashups, and social media to promote new levels of transparency and citizen participation in government. Gov 2.0 is an attempt to provide more effective processes for government service delivery to citizens and the commercial sector. Several examples of successful public-private partnerships will also be discussed.
