This workshop will introduce the basic concepts for working with spatial statistics and the unique characteristics of spatial data for statistical analysis. Statistical methods available in the Spatial Statistics toolbox will be demonstrated, including standard deviational ellipses and hot spot analysis. The workshop will present a wide range of application areas relevant to the Federal Government including crime, epidemiology, and urban demographics.
