Esri specializes in helping Java developers create interactive, cross-platform Web GIS applications. This session will cover several strategies for Web development using Java and ArcGIS. A brief overview of the ArcGIS Server Web ADF will be provided, followed by discussion and demonstrations of other approaches such as building Web 2.0-friendly Java GIS services using REST, consuming Java services in rich Web clients (such as JavaScript/ AJAX and Flex), creating ArcGIS Server object extensions with Java, and using Java and ArcGIS with popular third-party Web frameworks. Relevant new features of ArcGIS Server 10 will also be discussed.
