Geospatial Dissemination at MCIA

The Marine Corps Intelligence Activity's Geospatial Intelligence Directorate has been supporting the production and dissemination of intelligence products and data kits through web and portable GIS applications since 2001. The GID Warehouse, MCIA Geodatabase and Portable GEOINT Kit products are currently supporting the operational forces in every clime and place. Many of these "mission specific" geospatial intelligence applications have evolved far beyond MCIA's original expectations. During the development of each application and product kits, MCIA learned valuable lessons and has been adjusting business practices to ensure the war fighter can access the geospatial intelligence they need, when they need it.
