Basemaps for Defense

Basemaps provide a foundation for all sorts of operations. Attendees will learn how to build basemaps using data available to the defense and intelligence communities. We will demonstrate how to load raw data from mapping agencies into useful multiresolution basemaps. This will include building imagery basemaps from controlled image base (CIB), building scanned map basemaps using Compressed ARC Digitized Raster Graphic (CADRG) and Enhanced Compressed Raster Graphic (ECRG), and building a multiscale topographic map using National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG) coded data.
