This workshop is for those who need to meet a range of interoperability requirements. Since 2010, the GeoServices REST Specification has been available. This open specification provides a standard way for web clients to communicate with GIS servers through Representational State Transfer (REST) technology. Developers can expose the GeoServices API request structure from ArcGIS for Server and other back-end GIS servers or processors. This presentation will review the specification standard and demonstrate how interoperability needs are met. An update will be provided on Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc. (OGC), Standards Working Group's review of the specification for possible inclusion as an OGC standard.
