Connecting to AS400 RMS Using CrimeView GIS and ArcIMS Author: Tim H O'Brien 8401 Monitor Drive NE Phone: 505-379-9190 This paper will discuss the benefits and shortfalls experienced with connecting Esri solutions to AS400 record management systems found in many public safety offices. We will share how Earth Touch Solutions and The Omega Group have successfully implemented CrimeView 2.0 into the Hobbs Police Department to meet comp stat reports required by the client every three months. Demos of the site and how the data is extracted from the AS400 will be shown. We will also discuss the next generation of crime analysis software using ArcIMS 1 at the Albuquerque Police Department (APD) Intranet system, which maintains all its data inside an AS400. The APD system was implemented using personnel from the Esri-Denver technical team and Earth Touch Solutions. |
