Extents and Scale







The Previous Extent button  and the Next Extent button  are navigation tools that operate much like the back and forward arrows on a web browser. They allow the user to flip back and forth between previous and next extents they have viewed. The extent arrows can remember upwards of a 100 different extents.

Note: Only the extent (area on the screen) are remembered, not the data that was displayed.
The Map Scale option in the File menu allows the user to specify the scale of the map.  This can also be achieved by double-clicking on the scale in the lower right corner of the Display Window.
