GIS Implementation at McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada

This presentation will be an overview of GIS application in an airport environment. GIS is widely used at McCarran to support the various divisions of the Department of Aviation including facilities and land use planning, business, real estate, property management, and airport operations. The paper will demonstrate some of the applications that were developed in-house to disseminate the available GIS data throughout the organization. The applications include the Terminal Management System (TMS), which is a MapObjects Software-based desktop application. An ArcIMS application to manage airport properties, and an ArcPad application to support airport operations.
