AbstractGeodatabases and the Spatial Data Standards Track: New Technology and Technology Integration Author(s): Nancy Towne The CADD/GIS Technology Center has developed an integrated set of GIS data standards, the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE). The SDSFIE objective is better implementation of standards within the DoD and technology transfer. A set of tools developed to assist users includes the browser, FilterMaker, and generator. The browser is useful for finding information. The FilterMaker allows the user to create subsets. The generator builds relational databases including the geodatabase tool that builds SDSFIE geodatabases with subtypes and domains. This enables users to create seamless, enterprise databases utilizing the SDSFIE and Esri technology.
