Track: State and Local Government
Author(s): Sara Cobb

The City of Edmond is continuing to make progress in implementing its GIS goals of a City-wide, enterprisewide GIS with maintenance management system and permitting system. In five years, the City of Edmond has worked on obtaining an accurate street addressing map, as well as, with the help of The CEDRA Corporation, collecting a majority of its infrastructure. The City has also updated parcel data originally from Oklahoma County to use as a base for addressing and planning and zoning layers. This paper will present the different data layers that the City of Edmond has collected including water, sewer, storm, and electric infrastructure data and data collected from aerial photography. This paper will also cover the successes, trials, and tribulations of the continuing implementation of Azteca Systems' Cityworks work order system and Accela's PermitsPlus permitting system as well as what is ahead for the City of Edmond.
