Abstract
Lower Mississippi Valley (LMV) Live Map

Lower Mississippi Valley (LMV) Live Map is an Web-based GIS viewer designed to provide managers and scientists with online mapping capability of physical, political, transportation, and habitat data of LMV. It was developed as visualization tool for a project sponsored by the U.S. Geological Survey and Environmental Protection Agency concerning the creation of a regional land use-cover dataset from GAP data for the LMV. LVM allows viewers to display and analyze GAP, USGS National Land Cover, and Giras datasets over the LMV extent. Data and metadata used in the LMV Live Map can also be downloaded from the site.
